In v8 of DOORS DXL was refreshed frequently whenever its value was nothing. I demonstrated it could be as often as 10 times per seecond. I therefore recomended that when the calculated value was null, that a space be used instead:
if (Result = "") //
then obj.attrDXLName = " "
else obj.attrDXLName = Result
Well, this no longer seems to be the case for v9304. Even when the attr dxl set its own value to null, it was NOT re-calculated constantly; but it was re-calculated when it was externally set to null (such as when Refreshing DXL Attrs...). So, it seems now, its OK to set the value to null.
I was hoping that someone could verify this and perhaps explain how it is set to null but DOORS knows not to re-calculate it.
